What can we learn from the pin-up girl of the past?

Betty Grable Pin Up Girl from Vintage Prints and Posters

It is an intriguing question asked by Sasha Brown-Worsham a few weeks ago in an article she penned for The Stir.

Sasha confesses she has been taking style tips from these pin ups for ages and sets out just how you can improve your style by following the lead of these women.  Women who walked a fine line between that classic sweet girl next door and the raunchy sex kitten.  Bettie Page was a fine example of Pin-Up girl, with gorgeous hair, big friendly smile and devilishly flirty eyes.

There are at least ten tips and they do not include going retro or heading out in a bathing suit.  They are great tips that could be applied to any person and work with any style you currently adopt in creating the look that is you.

Love the pin up style, its feminine, confident and not restricted any specific ‘look’ or body type… we need more of that in this day in age!
