JamJam Winter 10 Black Pumps

Back in 1952 the low-heeled pump was very popular as the day to day wearing shoe, they feature a small arch and heel.  Most of the colours were single tone allowing them to me matched to the outfits that their owner was wearing.

The fashion continued through most of the mid fifties as the shoe of choice for getting around.

The heels varied from the stilletto point to the block heel like on these shoes from Covelli. Although the block heel stayed in fashion for the every day use, the tops of the shoes opened up to show more of the women’s foot.
