Getting into the vintage store

How does a Japanese man find himself travelling across the world to run a quirky fun vintage 50s store from his humble beginnings in Tokyo?

The answer… he finds Elvis!

During his teens Yama obsessed with America and everything American including the King of Rock N Roll, Elvis.  This love of America and Elvis, then took him in 1979 to Okinawa, a southern island under American control until 1972.  He described the place as heaven, but eventually he had to go the distance and is now living in California.  So what would a 50s Americana obsessed Elvis fan do in America?  Set up a funky vintage store!
