Fascinator Fetish!

May 1, 2011

Hats and fascinators are a very succint element of formal British fashion. As the spotlight fades on the extreme hype that has surrounded the royal wedding for months, I really wanted to write up a little something on fashionable millinery. A sea of fascinators and hats adorned the heads of the stylish women inside Westminster Abbey. They ranged from the tasteful and chick to the absolute bizarre. I swooned at the elegance of many and recoiled in horror at the sight of others. Have a look at the pictures and be the judge of whose headpiece was a hit and whose was a fashion flop; let us know whose head piece is your absolute favourite.

An elegant hat or fascinator is an absolute must have for the stylish modern woman. Have a look at some stunning hats and fascinators from Covelli.

Princess Letizia of Spain in a tasteful if conservative matching hat

Victoria Beckham in an elegant pillbox Phillip Treacy creation.

The Ladies Amelia, Eliza and Kitty Spencer, daughters of Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's brother

My favourite of the day: The Queen's grandaughter, Zara Phillips in an assymetrical pewter creation

The Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie: Their overdesigned headpieces severly pushed the boundaries of taste.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla and the Queen in respectable but no less stylish hats
