Modern Meets Vintage
When we hear the word “vintage”, an image of something that is elegant, classy, and sophisticated instantly pops into our head. It automatically takes us back to a time where everything was conservative and in sepia tone. From chic pearls to stylish laces, vintage fashion never goes out of style. It is timeless and unique and it makes anyone wearing it stand out.
Everyone wants their own personal touch in the style that they desire and in vintage fashion, you can always find something that suits your personal style. If you have an eye for fashion and you know how to mix and match garments and accessories (which I think anyone can do), you can surely turn something ordinary into something extraordinary. Whether purchased from a thrift shop or from a branded store, vintage fashion is becoming an essential wardrobe for everyone.
Vintage has a great deal of influence on today’s trends. Nowadays, fashion has been recycled from what was in store way back in the 40’s to the 80’s. Vintage fashion is once again on its blossoming stage. It has definitely adapted to our current society. It is referred to it as the “Modern Vintage”
Modern vintage fashion is a combination of styles of what was hip and fresh before and is carried on at present. Stores all over the world sell what most women are looking for after all so it’s no surprise that we get to see high waist skirts and shorts, lacey tops and mini dresses everywhere. Cute dresses with flowers on them are vintage-inspired too, as well as high waist jeans and pencil skirts. All of which are just adorable when paired properly with the perfect shoes and accessories.
Modern vintage shoes are absolutely divine! They are usually closed on the front (commonly known as oxford shoes) and they usually come in brown, black, or white. Today oxford shoes comes in other colors (with different combinations even) and can either be flat or with heels. There are modern vintage accessories too like big fashion rings and long necklaces. Pair them up with a pair of comfortable blue jeans and a white sleeveless top and you’re good to go! That’s already modern vintage right there.
Even if vintage fashion has met up with modern fashion, still there is a definite distinction between the two. It can be with the colors matched, the piece of clothing or accessory worn, or with how the whole outfit is meshed together.
