La Vie Boheme

November 25, 2011

Don’t you just love the unrestricted fashion of self-expression? That’s what you call the bohemian style. The term “Bohemian” refers to people who live an unconventional and artistic life. This lifestyle here solely reflects the bohemian fashion style which is popularly known as boho chic.

Bohemian or “boho chic” is a casual mix of hippie, ethnic, gypsy and vintage elements. It’s all about looking natural and carefree. Earthy tones are best when trying to get this look – earthy with an array of vibrant and catchy colors such as orange, green, and magenta.

To achieve this fab look, wear long skirts, flowy shirts then shorts or those comfy dresses with an Indian-inspired print on them.  With a pair of sandals or rugged boots, who says fashion isn’t comfortable? The more comfy and lax your outfit is, the better. That makes it even more natural.

Love to accessorize? Well, you’re in luck because in attaining that boho chic look, that is the most essential part. The whole style is equivalent to accessories galore.  Release your creative side by mixing and matching bracelets, ankle bracelets and necklaces. Put on a pair of dangling earrings too and a ring or two if you want.  Remember, accessorizing doesn’t only mean having to wear jewelry. There’s headbands, clips, and barrettes for your hair, and belts for your waist. For sure that’ll instantly turn your whole wardrobe into something noticeable.

Check out celebs like Sienna Miller, Mischa Barton, Kate Moss and Nicole Richie. They have taken a fresh twist on the bohemian style. Well, after all, the boho fashion is considered as a state of mind rather than just a fashion trend that will fade in time.
