What’s in a Bag?

   Any woman would agree that her bag is her best buddy. These times, woman both  young and old alike would not go out on the streets without carrying a bag on her hand or shoulder. It is now something that could carry every woman’s necessity daily.

Use of a handbag dates back to as early as the 14th century.  It used to be just an attachment to a garment of the Egyptians.  At the turn of the 16th and 17th century it evolved to something more fashionable. By the 18th century the term reticule was used for this thing.

It was only in the early 1900’s that “ handbag “ was popularly used. From then on, century after century the bag took many transformations. It followed fashion trends, taking new forms and styles but retaining its functionality and usability. Be it a duffle bag, hobo bag, satchel, clutch bags, diaper bags, pouches , cross body all manufactured and designed to serve its purpose.

Many designers have come up with its distinct design and material used.  Known bag designers as Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors , Prada never stopped providing the market with its updated selection of bags.

Today, a lot of bag makers have participated in the industry.  Leaving the market a wide array of choices . From small to extra big ones, plain ones to more vivid ones,  soft fabric to genuine leather,  a long line selection for all women out there.  The choice is yours, after all you are looking for something dependable – a BFF!
